The Comeraghs

Our most favourite route and one of the best hill-walks in the South East! Described as one of the finest examples of a corrie lake in Western Europe with stunning views from the summit at a height of 792m.

Coumshinaun Lake via The Hermit of Lackendaras Rock:

Graded: easy~moderate
Duration: 2-3hrs

Visit this stunning example of a corrie lake with its majestic setting.

Farbreaga Cairn:

Graded: easy~moderate
Duration: 2hrs

This route takes us back through our ancient Neolithic past, visit the Muama Standing Stone and cist burial cairns with panoramic views of the Copper Coast as well as the Knockmealdown and Galty Mountains.

Slievenamon

Sliabh na mBan (Mountain of the Women) 721m:

Graded: easy~moderate
Duration: 3hrs

Steeped in Irish history, the summit offers fantastic views of counties Waterford, Tipperary and Kilkenny.

The Galty Mountains

Galtymor-summit-cross (Custom)

Galtymor via the Black Road:

Graded: strenuous

Ireland’s highest inland mountain standing at 919m, this route takes us along the Black Road an old turf track, the views from its summit cross are spectacular with panoramic views on a clear day.

The Knockmealdowns

Knockmealdown Mountain 794m

Graded: strenuous
Duration: 4hrs

The highest peak in county Waterford, this route follows the county boundary wall built during famine times. Views of the Galty and Comeragh Mountains are visible.
